Kent Wood Promoted to Chief Operating Officer at XanGo

LEHI, UT—September 8, 2005—XanGo, LLC, recognized creator of the mangosteen supplement category, today announced that Kent Wood has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Wood, a founding executive, most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for the rapidly expanding Utah-based company that distributes its market-leading product, XanGo™ Juice, in the U.S. and 14 international markets.

“Kent's leadership and strategic abilities have empowered XanGo to achieve phenomenal success in the short two and a half years from our launch and international growth,” said Aaron Garrity, president of XanGo. Wood's promotion to COO is designed to strategically manage XanGo's meteoric growth. In his new role, Kent will assume responsibility for XanGo's general finance, accounting, quality assurance and information technology.

Prior to joining XanGo, Wood worked for a large accounting firm, Grant Thornton, using his bachelor's and master's degrees in accountancy to audit several international network-marketing companies. He then served for seven years as Controller and Corporate Controller for two large network-marketing companies overseeing their worldwide accounting functions.

Wood has contributed major successes for XanGo since he helped form the company. As a founder and Chief Financial Officer, Wood raised XanGo's start-up capital and repaid its investors nearly two and a half years ahead of schedule. He built an accounting and finance team that managed record-setting growth in the natural products industry. His team also ensured proper payment of distributor commissions, sending more than 40,000 checks per month to XanGo distributors.
