Xanthone Discovery

Xanthones are a unique biologically "active" compound. Active means they couple with other molecules and become very beneficial to the systems of the body.

Xanthones can kill cancer cell.s They enter the cell wall with antioxidants and can even kill intracell bacteria before it has a chance to mess with the cell's DNA.

Xanthones are never found alone, but in mixed molecules. There are 200 known Xanthones and more than 40 are found in the pericarp of the mangosteen fruit.

No other fruit or single food has this quantity.

To date, only six of the Xanthones have been studied. There will be much more research now that these properties have been discovered in the mangosteen juice.

Xanthones are anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-hepatoxic (prevent liver poisoining). In addtion they are known in science to be some of the most important antioxidants found in nature.
